"What I saw on Windows 10 when using the -nologo and -windowed game launch options, is that the Batman Arkham Knight program is looking for KERNELBASE.dll which is named kernelbase.dll and BatmanAK.exe which is named BatmanAK , with a whole bunch of attempts to open those files!!!! Thnkx Windows for "upgrading" naming conventions and not adding something like -i option in grep program that makes it case insensitive, effectively making game useless as it will endlessly search for "properly" named files! Perhaps a friendly programmer COULD update the proprietary Binary-scrambled code, with enough people bugging them about doing this, it might just happen. Was only able to get a screenshot of the error messages and not copy and paste! What a great upgrade! "
" Open regedit
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\BatmanAC.exe
If the last entry, BatmanAC.exe, doesn't exist, just create it manually
Create a new value:
Name: DisableExceptionChainValidation
Type: DWORD
Data: 1 (encoding doesn't matter)
Relaunch the game! :) "
Do you get any error message when trying to boot the game up? If so please post what error message you get. Also check your anti virus as sometimes anti viruses will stop Batman Arkham city or asylum from running. If a required game file is captured by your anti virus you will need to create a exception for that game file.
Have you ran the first time setup for the game by clicking configure before launching the game so that steam can install the required files for the game to work.
I'm sure they are fine but i have to ask to see if possibly your machine may be the issue.
What’s your processor
Have you made sure that your gpu drivers are running the latest drivers?
Have you made sure to update to the latest version of windows 10? As in installed all required updates.
Looking at your specs it seems your system meets the requirements
Check the temps of your system and reinstall drivers from nvidia for your gpu it might be a driver issue. Also if it’s not that try and clean your pc as dust and hair that collects in your pc can make your system unstable along with if you have low storage on your machine can make applications unstable.

disable DX10:
01. Locate DefaultEngine.ini here: Steam \ SteamApps \ common \ Batman Arkham City GOTY \ BmGame \ Config \ DefaultEngine.ini
02. Open DefaultEngine.ini with NotePad
03. Locate "AllowD3D10=True" and change True to False
04. Save file and restart computer
if that doesnt work have you tried manually updating your physx?
