Batman Arkham city Stuttering fix

Ok, to everyone who is facing stuttering and frame drops in this game, regardless of the setup, the solution for me was very simple and kinda dumb. I just started the game with compatibility mode. U need to search the .exe file from the game on steam app folder, and start the game with compatibility mode. Test the program and windows will choose windows 8 mode. Then, you save the configuration for this game. The framerate for me increased from 40 to solid 60 on ultra settings with nvidia physyx disabled. Here's my setup:
I7 4770
12gb RAM 1866mhz DDR3
RX 470 4gb GDDR5
Windows 10 64bit

Yeah could you elaborate? It's frustrating that I can't play without have a fps drop every time I grapple somewhere on the map.

Locate BatmanAC.exe: Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Batman Arkham City GOTY \ Binaries \ Win32 \ BatmanAC.exe

Right-click on BatmanAC.exe, Properties > Compatibility. Click on and run the Compatibility Troubleshooter. Click "Run this program in Compatibility Mode for" and choose Windows 8 if not automatically selected. Down below click Apply, then OK.

nitro 5 1650ti I5 10300h 16gb ram. stuttering while gliding around and sometimes using the grapnel. my computer should slay this wtf?

Yeah, this happens with everyone. The PC port is a total piece of crap, unfortunately :/

Actually it doesn't, Lynx. Mine runs relatively stutter free with 32GB RAM and 8GB VRAM.

No, it doesn't happen to everyone. I'm playing at 100-120fps locked and it mostly stays at 120fps locked with 1080p 4x MSAA and Ultra settings.

Now, my computer is definitely way better than most pc's, but it's not just the game. Just because your computer struggles to run it that doesn't make it a bad port/poor optimization.

The only thing I had to do is go into the engine file and change max framerate from 62 to 120 and change Anisotropic filtering to 16x.

Well, so u just need to buy a PC way better than the recommended settings to run the game, and also change some variables on the engine file, to properly run a 2011 old game. And you' re telling me its not bad optimisation. This is a joke, right?

dude chances are my pc is better than your and when you run dx 11 features it absolutely runs like butt. once you turn off dx 11 it runs like normal. the game was designed around dx 9.

I'm running an i9 10850k at 5ghz all 10 cores, 5.1 on 5 cores, 5.2 on 2 cores with an RTX 3070 and 32GB of 3200mhz cl14 RAM. The game is running fine for me after making those 2 simple fixes.

There's definitely something wrong with your settings if your game is running like trash.
