I managed to finally do it after God knows how many attempts! The main key was really jumping over all risky enemies and attacking from behind and be very careful with any freeflow attacks but I'm sure you already know that.
All I can recommend is to pace yourself and don't rush the timing or take risky moves especially later as the enemies actually increase speed in their attacks. As I'm sure you know when you lose your combo it becomes almost impossible to crack the 1000000 score.
Have a look at my vid - no sure if it helps but you might find a tactic of use I used..

ranged enemies should be a priority target, do not let them access the rifles if at all possible, and of course use your spacemaker (bat swarm) and multi-ground takedown as often as you can.
Try to wait as long as possible before cashing in,but you're better off doing so sooner rather then losing it entirely. it's far less important to lose your comb before losing bank.
Just like any map featuring the one armed thug
All you need to do is spam attack then press R as soon as you can
Repeat until he's dead and don't drop the combo
You'll 3 star it in no time
If you want real garbage then check out catwoman's predator challanges
The game launched in 2012. That's some serious 9 years dedication. If I were you I would entrust this mission to my sons/grandsons
