At the same time, however, the conflict between him and Batman is the driving force for pretty much his entire existence. There's been moments in the comics where Joker THINKS he's killed Batman, and he sinks into clinical depression because of that. He thrives on that conflict; it's his raison d'etre. Joker needs Batman, but Batman doesn't need Joker. The only reason Batman keeps saving Joker's life is because of his own "No killing" rule.
But I've heard also on missed call #5 that Joker told Batman he'll an effort him to get the cure from Joker. And also, Joker said that he's life would be so boring without Batman ruining he's plan and throwing him to jail again, and again. Implying that maybe JUST maybe that Joker would save some of the cure for Bats BUT Batman need to bust in there and get the cure.
True, which is why my answer is..maybe. We just don't know, because of Joker's impulsiveness. He might start out planning to save Batman, but then suddenly change his mind because he thinks it'd be funny, even if he knows he's gonna regret it later.
We don't really know that. After all, this is JOKER we're talking about here. Even though he's fully capable of making fantastic plans (the game shows that often enough), his four defining factors as a criminal are his arrogance, his sadism, his impulsiveness, and his antagonism with Batman. Those four factors drive everything he does, and his actions tend to be governed by whichever of those factors has the most control at the time. That's why this question can't have a definite answer, because out of all Batman's Rogues' Gallery, Joker's the craziest one.
I agree. Joker is unpredictable, unstable, and crazy. We don't know what happens until he is finally done with he's actions and choices.
