The game Still Worth it?
I know is one of the greatest Games in history but are we in 2018. The game is almost for free, I just passed the Arkham Knight and I loved but the game have serious problems of optimization and after end the main campaign dont have so much to do.
Do you think is worth it buy the City now? I never player it, just the Asylum. I'm a crazy fan of Batman. But for today days is a game little old no? If they make the remaster version like they do for console I certly buy it.. But in old graphics...
What do you think guys?

It's the best of the series IMO even though it doesn't have the same graphical spectacle of Knight. It is pretty ol;d now but I played it through again a year or so ago and was surprised how well it stands up to modern titles. The gameplay, art direction and story are top notch. For me the ambience of City is just better than the other ones for some reason.

There is a texture pack for the game now, not sure it makes a massive difference but you might look at that.

instead of making a new thread, how would this article http://levelsave.com/batman-arkham-city-is-a-terrible-game/ be refuted.. It literally is what is holding me back from buying this... It kind of seems like very good points. I played the demo and it did seem like there were more enemies, but they were also far easier to take out... Lending me to the quality vs quantity thought process.

lol youre letting one guy's opinion piece from five years ago stop you from playing one of the most highly acclaimed games of all time for $5.00....

I didnt even read the article in full. Im sure a lot of what he says apples to many open world games made today. thats because a lot of them copy the same format as batman, assassin's creed etc... except that arkham city does that style of game best.

A lot of what I read in that articl boils down to "I dont like the changes they made from Arkham Assylum because it's not the same game"

edit: i jest read more of it. wow this guy is a r_tard. he just doesn't know how to play the game. New enemy types were introduced and he can't adapt so he badmouths the game on his blog about how hes always getting taken unaware from behind lol. its because he hasn't gotten good. dont listent to this scrub please.

his point on how you revisit areas in AC but not in AA is jjust wrong. you reisit areas in AA later on when you have better gadgets. You do it all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time and it works the exact same way in City...

The console "remaster" runs this game at a terrible framerate (between 20-30 fps) it's gameplay still holds up today though.

I just started playing the game a week or so ago and while I don't disagree with most of what the linked review above says (the countless keyboard/mouse combinations are the biggest nuisance) I am still having a pretty good time with it. I don't think it is nearly as good as Arkham Asylum, but if, as you say, it is almost free, I'd say to give it a shot.

What a cheapskate, if you can't spare FIVE dollars for a game, then gaming isn't for you, simple !

He badmouthed the combat because it wasn't piss easy like in Asylum, is that really someone you can trust?
