I would like to say a constructive comment. I think the game could be much more beautiful and playable if we could observe the ships while they sail, and be able to manage the crew. as well as in the uboat game.

You can indeed watch the ships while they sail and of course you manage the crew of each of your ships.

Am I missing something, when i click the ship icon to view a ship, the game pauses. How are you un-pausing game while viewing ship...

Ya how do you watch the ships while they sail? For me that is what this game lacked.

Ports of Call Deluxe 3D 2024 does this, In a decent way although PoA Is a port from a old Amiga game, which these devs should learn a bit from...

This would be awesome If they could add It to their game engine...

Ah ya interesting, thank you!

So I guess there really is no way to do it in this game and those who say there is are incorrect? I certainly cant find one.

Yes you can watch you´re ships out at sea (In their route) and even be Inside the ship bridge, but you can´t control the ship as In the game I posted above. I can´t remember what key, or how to do It because I am waiting for them to fix things before I start a new game.

But I know for sure you can do that. You just can´t control them.

In TransOcean 2: Rivals, you could control you´re ship (If you wanted) to get out of ports. You could have the game do It for you, or you could do It you´re self. Similar to Ports of Call above. But you could only do that, get them out of port! In Ports of Call from what I can see, you can navigate you´re ship from one port to another If you wish. It might take you hours to get there, but you can do It. It has more "simulator" aspects then any of the available ship transport management games that I know of.

Hmm OK thank you. I will have to try again. I dont mind it being set on course and I can just watch it but not change course in that screen. I just could not find it when I looked.

Thanks again

You´re welcome!
I found a screenshot I took some time ago, which shows you can see you´re boats...

yeah,, and in the screenshot u look at the top and u can see game speed is Paused.
Stardog765 May 23, 2024 @ 2:18pm
Oh OK so it is the paused view, I did know that existed. But that is the only option huh?

Thank you though I appreciate the info.

IIRC you don´t need to pause the game speed, you just need to change the camera views. I plan to start a new game today and I´ll jump back here and let you know...

In the screenshot link below, you will see on the left bottom of the screen were you have some menus. You will see a "eye" Icon, and next to It, a "ship" Icon. Click on the ship Icon. If you are on the main map screen the Icon will be grey, click on It anyway. It will open a new screen once loaded with you´re ship and the Icon will now be green. To go back to the map view, click on the green ship Icon again.

hmm thank you. I will try this here in a few. :)

Any view, inside or out of ship game is paused, contracts are not advanced, everything is the same when you leave that view.
With nothing more than 2D screens, " 'ORAMA" should not even be in the title.
