If you kill the invader and you survive for a specific amount of time he will reappear and be summoned to your world as an ally for 1 minute if your health drops below a certain threshold

What seems to mostly happen is that he absolutely trashes you

Bit of a Son of Arugal (that's an OLD reference I know)

I'll make a note maybe we can tone him down a little :)

He also sabotaged a few of my attempt to do a 10 minutes hit-less run. It's quit hard to avoid his attacks even if you constantly run away, because the dash/slash has a (too) long range. But it also was a nice surprise when he comes back to support your, after you defeated him before. I hope to see more such random events, with a twist.

We're just getting started. We have so many random encounters and cool events planned for the game (and we do not intend to copy anything we've done before, so if you've seen it once, it will not be re-created just to add filler content). There will be more invaders, but they will be "different" and their purpose will be different. You'll see. The next environment alone: Usvit Castle (not the depths), is gonna throw so many twists into the game as well as start explaining some of the game's story (yes there is one haha, but it's told through lore and items found in the game world). Lots to come!

I would say it is at first but thats why there is progression and its also about learning.

I should say I've encountered him well through a game and I've encountered him quite early on - there's a BIG difference between those 2 events...

Maybe if he could be avoided you could build-up to taking-him-on but he seems to seek you out so his spawning at a bad time will always be a miserable thing.

I love 'events' in levels because it makes every game a new experience but they need to be fair OR avoidable until you're ready for them perhaps?

fair idea. we will think on this. added to our feedback notes. As a tip for now: IF you do not want to spawn him ever in the forest: simply take more than 65 damage in the first 4 minutes of gameplay. This might sound annoying, but it's his trigger :) if you take more damage than that he won't ever spawn

As a software guy (and sometime game developer) for decades, I love knowing things like that - it's a BIT of a spolier but I love finding-out how people design this stuff

Please keep-up the good work, really enjoying what you're doing!

Hi Visser, he spawns only in the forest. There are different invaders/events in different worlds. For instance, in the castle, it's Lady Nox, and in End of Time: Dancing Dragon is the invader. cerveris spawns only if you have taken very little damage up until his spawn time is met, which is variable
