Beware, 30 FPS max.........
I want to inform ppl who sees a fluid video on steam and like what they see. "I´ll think I´ll buy this" Just so you know, there is a hard coded cap @ 30 fps. Feels like it´s lagging if you are a 60fps gamer. It´s a damn shame, it´s an awesome game in the foundation. If anyone har surcomvented the cap. Pls tell me how, here or PM.

Well 2 answers to the problem we are encountering, 1 is positive, 1 is negative. Short answer, yes we can change the FPS limit, but no we cannot change the actual game FPS cap.

If you navigate to X:\F:\Steam\steamapps\common\sideway\Win32 and open ConfigCommon.ini, you will see a line that reads

; locks the game to 30 fps
MaxFrameRate = 30 .

Now setting this to 60 or 120 then saving it, will actually render the menus, intro movies, etc with an uncapped or capped at what you set framerate. [You can see it by using Fraps, MSI Afterburner, etc. I took 3 screenshots, 2 of which I uploaded to Steam showcasing +2000 FPS in the beginning cutscene. I use MSI Afterburner.]

So that takes care of 1, but the 2nd is the problem child. No matter what we set it to go at, when we load the actual level of the game we will see a beautiful dip of FPS right back down to 30. I have had this game since release, still no resolving or circumventing it unfortunately and I have been wanting to play this game again.

But yeah the game definitely has a great theme to it, just would of been cool if an engine update or some info was released to allow us to play it at the framerate we would have wished to.

I stopped playing this game because the framerate was absolutely disgusting.

Way to fail, developers.

Its possible that the code of the game itself is hardcoded at 30FPS if the timing is based on the frames. This is quite common for console games but PC gamers are used to higher frame rates than 30FPS and sitting close to a high quality monitor can make the stuttering painfully apparent.

It would be nice if this information was included on the store page, there are other important things that aren't mentioned on store pages like in game micro transactions, I wish they would standardize this information.

Right on! I didnt check it out before I got it. The 30 fps makes this potentially amazing game feel slow and really sluggish. To damn bad.

It is still a cool game I think. Just not finetuned enough. Anyone interested in unlocking the Co-Op achievement!? Just search and add "valvenator".

I found a solution, but for nVidia card only, just start ShadowPlay and enjoy !!!
(fullscreen only, not windowed)

Just went from the R9 280 to a GTX 970. Tell me how! =D (instead of googling, I´ll just ask ;)

Download and install GeForce Experience ( http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/download ), and active ShadowPlay (on top right corner)

Here is the fix I found without needing cheat engine.
