Choppy Animations
I turned vsync off and on and it stays the same.

The game runs at 60 fps but it feels like the animations of worms are capped at 30 fps or something...I dunno it just doesn't seem as smooth as it should. Any ideas?

I'm also experiencing similar issues (and I exceed the minimum requirements by a lot.)

It's been like this since release (I preordered)

Same here, thought it had utterly bad performance but FRAPS says otherwise (120+). Seems animation are indeed capped at 30 FPS. Camera movement controlled by AI (eg. auto following projectiles) are also included, moving manually with the mouse however is smooth.
I wonder why the animations are dumbed down so much, some sort of console feature they didn't care to fix in the PC version?

Hi guys,

If you're having issues running the game can you please send your DxDiags into our support team? Thank you

1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R
2. The Run dialog should appear. Type dxdiag in the available text field.
3. Click OK
4. Click Save All Information
5. Set the Save as type to Text File (*.txt)
6. Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find.
7. Attach the DXdiag.txt file in an email to support@team17.com

Same thing happens to me. I know it's not a performance problem, because the game runs at constant 60 fps when moving the camera myself... but the animations and the auto camera movements are really choppy... very annoying. Please Team 17, can you fix this in an upcoming patch?

I can assure you it is not my computer...everything up to date, beastly gaming computer. Same thing as AMX. It's smooth when I move the camera. Particle effects are also smooth. But 3-D models do not move smoothly.

Would you mind posting a video showing what you mean by choppy model movement? I'm not sure precisely what you're describing.

I'll try posting a video later today. I will record it at 60 fps, but if youtube plays videos at 30 fps or so (not sure) I don't think the problem will be noticeable in the video at all...

YouTube converted the one I made earlier to 30 FPS down from the 60 I recorded at. Everything looked smooth to me at 60 FPS. But, I don't know what people will think of the 30 FPS video.

But do you notice the fps cap in the animations and auto camera? It's VERY noticeable for me, but I want to make sure that this happens also to everyone (pretty sure it does).

I don't notice anything unusual when I play. That's why I asked for a video, so I could see what it was some people are complaining about.

Worth mentioning I play 1920x1080 @ 60hz. Agreed with AMX, it's very noticeable. You can't not notice it. I can still play it but, it's annoying.

Well, take a look at the short video of a worm moving left and right I made then. Turn down your speakers though, cuz it's a bit loud. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mpmtyBYnY8

If it looks bad to you, that might be due to YouTube converting it to 30 FPS from the 60 FPS it started as. If, however, if looks better than what you're used to seeing, that's useful info.
