Worms won't startup

I start it up and it shows the copyright screen. then a juttery Team17 animation. then it shows the loading screen and about 1 second in it freezes and i have to use ctr+alt+delete to get out as it tells me it's not responding. how do i fix is. I've tried adding wormsrevolution.exe to my nvidia file but It still freezes. how do i get it to play.

I am encountering the same problem, but i followed the steps and they still didn't work and i don't have to use ctrl+alt+del to exit, it just automatically closes. Please help

I finally got it to work!!!...after searching for daysss on how to fix it and going through all the requirements check up crap........I'm using an AMD radeon graphics card just f.y.i but it might still work for anyone............basically I just got fed up and uninstalled worms, but even when you uninstall it there are still files from the game lingering around on your computer, so after uninstalling worms go to Cdrive/prgrm files 86/steam/steamapps/worm revolutions(the worms revolution file should still be there........delete it!).......then go to cdrive/prgrm files 86/steam/steam/games....delete the worms save data....keep in mind that anything you delete will still be in your recycle bin...open the recycle bin and delete it from there as well..basically do a search in "my computer" for worms and permanently delete any worms file that comes up...then restart your computer and re-install worms from steam...this worked for me :D
