Monarch takes forever

I don't know if I'm the only one, but I'm in the endgame of a very entertaining game on single player 'Monarch' and the computer is literally taking upwards of 15 minutes or more per move. One move almost took half an hour. Then, just as I do something decisive, the game crashes. This happened a dozen or so times. I started saving after every move. I took a fraps video of one of my attempts to finish the game and 7 moves took 64 minutes! Then it crashed. It seems every time I get a leg up on the AI, it throws a tantrum.

Anyone else have this trouble?

Just because it's been a long time, doesn't mean they have no intention of fixing it.

No communication, excuse after excuse, and absolutely no update in over 8 months? I'd say that's pretty clear indication that the dev has abandoned the project.

Not this kind of beta. You know, the kind of beta where the developer comes up with excuse after excuse for no update after L-O-N-G periods of time in between. The kind of beta where the buyer has to hound the developer's Facebook page, in order to get some kind of communication in the Steam forums. Glad to see that you have some time in this game. What are the specs on your machine? I was thinking of pulling an older system out of the closet just to see if this game will actually run in its current state on it!

@tombdriver- the way I look at it, I only paid for a lunch. I have bought many lunches, some are good, some are bad. Some are quick and greasy, others are slow and good- and all the rest are somewhere in between. I don't know why people get so uptight about it.

I've bought a lot of lunches too in 32 years of computer gaming.......but I fail to see your point! Seems the dev is back so will see if some game playing changes occur.
