There seems to be a massive amount of denial going on with some players completely oblivious to the fact that there is a mod now available that allows you to play Nosgoth again after downloading it from Steam. The applied mod then points your Nosgoth client to the private community servers instead of the dead ones.

Please post here if you have played the mod to confirm it does exist, that you weren't scammed and to encourage more players to join us in our daily Nosgoth online sessions now run on private servers via the mod.
Also feel free to post clips of your videos you have taken while playing the mod.

FOR THOSE WHO DON'T LIKE THE IDEA OF JOINING A DISCORD TO PLAY, READ ON

You can try out the mod without joining discord, just visit the following site which has some basic instructions on getting setup. If you run into any issues though, the Discord is going to be your next place to go for help.

You can view a very rough version of the ingame queue via this webpage but remember only by joining the Discord you can actually ping other players who are dying to get to play this everyday.

This was not a feature of the game when it was still being supported. There are only bots in the tutorial and the mod has not changed this (yet). You can however play against other players and you can also just launch the maps to run around if thats what you want to do.

I have played nosgoth with some friends today, it's not perfect since you can't party up and queue as a team, but you CAN play Nosgoth and it is still awesome. Join the Discord, follow the steps of the instructions to get the game running (it is really simple) and join in on the fun. The more players we have the better the matchmaking will be!

If you don't believe this is legit check my profile, you can see I played today.

That's nice and all I'm just not a big discord user so if that's the way to matchmake i wouldn't mind bots.

You can play without discord, you would just not see how many players are in the queue or be able to ping a message to alll EU players (registered to the discord) for example to get some games going.
You can regardless still queue and actually you can see the queue here (see link below) without joining the discord but I would suggest joining the discord as there is a lot of info pertinent to the mod specifically such as how to prevent the game crashing (32bit game that cannot utilise all your modern day ram).

Nosgoth has been alive and well for years. With discord the game is even better now because you're no longer in the dark when it comes to match making. You can now see how many people are in the lobby cue. The game is more streamlined than the original devs ever did. We just need the players in order to have quicker matchmaking. Just to clarify: mod = the game as it has been before the shutdown.

The game was even further developed and improved. You will find new classes and new skills for the old classes. The community is small but very loyal.

Your best chance of getting into a game is in the evening (european time) at around 21:00. Just check the link mentioned above or discord channel "lobby_codes_queue" to see if other players are in queue or already playing. Patience is all you need.

I play it on weekends for multiple hours with other nosgothians.
