I would love for Nosgoth to come back officially, but I would bet that we'll get remasters, remakes, or a sequel before an actual revival of Nosgoth sadly. I'm still super excited for Embracer to get the IP, as I think they'll finally do something with it.

I hope it means decent remake of the old games with a more responsive gameplay and a sequel to Defiance. Do we really need another sweatty P2W/F2P cover shooter?

It did have a horrible monetization system, for sure, but it's not anything like a "cover shooter" and it wasn't really much like other team-based arena games since it was heavily asymmetrical.
I do want to see attention to the old games, but why come into the Nosgoth forum just to dump on those of us who want to see it back?

I never thought Squeenix would stop IP squatting, so hell yeah, now we just need someone to convince Konami to sell some of their classic IPs instead of squatting on those forever as well lol

I don't know why people are cheering for this Embracer Group acquisition. Giant corporate entities like that rarely ever have the gamers in mind.

If Legacy Of Kain even comes back at all it's most likely going to be a cash-grab with 99 cent hats and 24 hour experience boosts.

Because Square Enix already killed it, Embracer tends to not really ♥♥♥♥ with the studios they buy, sometimes that's for the better, sometimes for the worse, but generally they didn't have any major ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that I can remember especially not at SE scale.
