how do i build on military bases?

i've been trying to build on a military base a skimmer for gallium, but it just tells me i am out of range, how do i solve this? building a network tower doesn't help

It sounds like it's out of range of your network. Your network is visible on the city map overlay, build that network extender at the edge of your current network and see if it puts the mining site in range for you. If it's too far away then build another extender at the edge of your new range and try again.

Military bases specifically seem to always be treated as "out of range" by the game, even if you build a relay tower or microwave relay right outside their perimeter. That's really all there is to it, you don't seem to be meant to build anything on a military base.

Are you sure you're trying to build on a military base? I thought those didn't have mines.

As I said, it appears you're not meant to build on military bases. Even if you build a network extending structure right up against the wall, it won't actually "extend" your range into the base. Unless the dev says otherwise it's best to assume it's intentional game design.

military bases and some specific places have an isolated network that you can't reach. So no building inside (for now, or maybe there is a specific path now or latter in development of the game that allow it)
