Add Clan Jade Falcon invading somerset and I'm all good. I want to play my own personal version of the battletech cartoon!
Had such high hopes for this game - and its basically been crickets from PGI on all feedback and issues since release.
We'll get Elementals and a bunch of Clan BattleMechs. Hopefully more of the latter will come. In the DLC after that one, I want the Bane. :) 10xUAC2, one of the few ballistics boats, and it also has a variant with 120 LRM tubes. Might not be the most practical design out there, but it is sure to be fun. Plus, the base model is gonna look hilarious with 15 barrels on each arm. :)
Who says we cant have a sandbox mode? Wolf Dragoons Exist and is one of the endings. I expect Wolf Dragoons sandbox dlc to be the 3rd or 4th dlc [/quote]
Wow. That would be SO nice... Take my money, please!
That said, a 12-mission campaign could conceivably take place in the last phase of the invasion, meaning Nova Cats and Steel Vipers are an option, too.
However, I do hope for a large expansion showing the fall of Smoke Jaguars (Operation Bulldog) to eventually cap off the game, bringing era-appropriate 'mechs to the table. Since the base game is about what was basically their biggest achievement, it would make a lot of sense to end it with them being brought down.
This would be the only way I could really see a Sandbox DLC take place. As a pilot with the regular Clan you would not have much freedom. You would go to the planets assigned, not one you would choose and fight the fights assigned to you. This precludes the open feel that mercs offers.
However, as you noted you could do this with the Dragoons, a limited open feel for the early play as you work through each of the Great houses while doing some storyline. Culminate in the invasion and then go into the post-invasion Civil War era as a free Merc unit.
