So this is another title that forces anti-aliasing on you?
AA and FSR/DLSS(upscaling) are the evil sisters of doom for gamers these days who doesn't like to play a blurry, smeary mess of a game. And according to the community they force AA on you at least, without any way to turn off. Has this changed by now or is it still a no-buy?

Umm . . . anti-aliasing makes things look better. Less jaggy. Why don't you like it?
You can blame Unreal Engine 5 for this. Many of the effects are sparsely sampled and rely on a temporal AA solution to denoise the results.

If you have access to Nvidia DLSS4 or AMD FSR4, the results are quite good.

With TAA the tradeoff is ghosting and a generally blurry mess. UE5 is particularly egregious, though without AA it looks absolutely abysmal.
AA is different than DLSS/FSR.

AA is: how to get rid of those jaggy lines by using more GPU power?
Jaggy lines are not that a big problem if you run native screen resolution and the game desginer avoids using a lot of thin, straight, parallel lines in textures and models.
(Look at Elite Dangerous how to do it wrong).

DLSS/FSR is: how do we get rid of optimising the game by rendering it at a lower resolution and upscale it?
DLSS/FSR has the "benefit" of adding an easy AA filter. Iff you already upscale the picture adding AA isn't much a thing.

And then there is the whole raytracing thing that costs a lot of GPU performance (so you need DLSS/FSR) and doesn't add much to the game, but everybody want's to be in the game just so they can justify to spend a lot of money on a high end nVIDEA GPU that only excels in raytracing...

Don't get me wrong, raytracing can be gorgeous... in a single player game, with not much going on, and the whole art design based on clever plays with light/shadows/reflections.
Stuff that I and most other don't expect in a Mechwarrior game,.
ai generative frames look really good. and the framerates high. i have no complaints with the life like realizm they make. I like my nvidia 4060 rtx

RIP my dood. My condolences for you with that 4060.... I have a 4060 after upgrading my 3060, and gave my brother my 3060 cuz "upgrade", fastest backtrack I ever done on a graphics card lol Had to buy a new 3060 cuz my brother wasnt going to go and trade it for the 4060 lol And I dont blame him. The card is ass compared to the 3060. Note its not the TI versions of either of them. But yeah, If you can, and you do more than just gaming like I do, get a 3060 12GB VRAM card, you will thank me later when you see the difference

No no, sell a kidney and get a 4090.

I'm running 4K DLAA.
So i guess the answer is no. Yet another game ruined by the notorious UE5 engine...

If anything, the updates to the game have only made performance worse. Simply put, I'm avoiding all UE5 games from now on, especially after the disaster that Oblivion remastered has been.

What exactly is it you're complaining about? The game looks fine to me. I never play games with anti-aliasing turned off.

Upscaling is obviously bad but you can simply not use that.

You should know kids these days NEEEED to have everything maxed out on uber ultra super realistic 36k super hyper definition graphics on 512k fps lol
I think the graphics look perfect on 4k with my 4080 and DLSS. Why people whine about these features is beyond me.

Yeah but antialiasing makes the image look LESS crappy. Unless it's something super garbage like FXAA...
