If you have access to Nvidia DLSS4 or AMD FSR4, the results are quite good.
AA is: how to get rid of those jaggy lines by using more GPU power?
Jaggy lines are not that a big problem if you run native screen resolution and the game desginer avoids using a lot of thin, straight, parallel lines in textures and models.
(Look at Elite Dangerous how to do it wrong).
DLSS/FSR is: how do we get rid of optimising the game by rendering it at a lower resolution and upscale it?
DLSS/FSR has the "benefit" of adding an easy AA filter. Iff you already upscale the picture adding AA isn't much a thing.
And then there is the whole raytracing thing that costs a lot of GPU performance (so you need DLSS/FSR) and doesn't add much to the game, but everybody want's to be in the game just so they can justify to spend a lot of money on a high end nVIDEA GPU that only excels in raytracing...
Don't get me wrong, raytracing can be gorgeous... in a single player game, with not much going on, and the whole art design based on clever plays with light/shadows/reflections.
Stuff that I and most other don't expect in a Mechwarrior game,.
No no, sell a kidney and get a 4090.
I'm running 4K DLAA.
If anything, the updates to the game have only made performance worse. Simply put, I'm avoiding all UE5 games from now on, especially after the disaster that Oblivion remastered has been.
What exactly is it you're complaining about? The game looks fine to me. I never play games with anti-aliasing turned off.
Upscaling is obviously bad but you can simply not use that.
Yeah but antialiasing makes the image look LESS crappy. Unless it's something super garbage like FXAA...
