MechWarrior 5: Clans

Statistiche:
Anybody have a fix for the menu bug?
I keep having to wiggle my mouse over anything in the menus or the command wheel to actually try and get a click to register. It makes the game 10x more tedious to play than it really needs to be, thats not even counting the performance issues im getting on a GTX 3060 laptop and Ryzen 7 6000, which should met the recommended specs (or at least surpass the minimum enough to keep everything on medium instead of low), i just tries turning DLSS to super performance so hopefully that will make the game not chug when more than 2 mechs that are not in my star are nearby.

It's not that they weren't ready, they just had no intention of ever putting proper controller support in it in the first place. I really hoped they might have done something, after years of learning a new engine while hearing their community complain about controls nonstop the entire time, but here we are. Maybe some hero in the modding community will bail them out again.
I doubt we're ever getting a Mechwarrior that's worth buying hardware for again, it really feels like Clans only exists so they could keep the license and get in on that Game Pass money =/

So unplugging my HOTAS and pedals fixes it for some reason. Thanks for rushing the game out PGI, I don't blame the developers, I blame whoever decided to push it out the door when the game clearly was not ready.

Pretty much. I refunded the game and will see if its worth dropping money on in a year after some patches but the fact of the matter is I cant even play the game without using a HOTAS either which is really concerning. That was the straw that broke the camels back for me was sub 30FPS slide show game play making the game literally unplayable. Maybe after a years worth of driver and performance updates they can have a product worth paying for.

As it stands now they lied about the minimum system requirements, my PC isnt the strongest but when dedicated VR Games are more playable than this unreal engine 5 slideshow gameplay (yet somehow the realistic beautiful cutscenes run at 165 no problem) you have serious problems and im shocked nobody else is talking about it. I wouldnt mind playing on all low settings if the game ran at an acceptable frame rate, graphics are not everything for me. Being able to play the game in the first place however IS.
I bought a Thrustmaster for MW2.
I bought a Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro for MW3.
I bought a Saitek X42 for MW4.

Now I'm in my 40s, still a nerd, and lucky enough to be able to blow a thousand dollars on joysticks,.
MW5 is literally the only major game I own that just doesn't use my Virpil Constellations in some fashion out of the box. Sorry if I'm a little salty but it just doesn't feel right. Not only do they not work, but the menus break if i leave them plugged in. That's a travesty, considering that I can make them work with every other game on this list (ok MW2 was a challenge, but they work) as well as nearly every other little single-dev flight and VR game in my Steam library.

That's not even getting into the crashing (several so far) and performance issues. I was willing to cut them a lot of slack with MW5 for it being their first, but come on guys. The least you could do is commit to a vague update roadmap before you start pumping out weak overpriced DLC that nobody asked for =/
Here's something that works for me. Start the game with the HOTAS not plugged in. Then plug it in. For my setup, both the menus/mouse click and HOTAS then work.
