Chain Fire?

Any help with the toggle chain fire control? I had to look up the game manual online and it says that Backspace is chain fire toggle but when playing it does nothing and there's no control for it in the settings? Am I doing something wrong? Am I blind? Thanks.

I believe, in theory, chain fire is supposed to fire the weapons in a group, in sequence, an example would be left laser, then right laser, rather than both at once, with each triggering of that weapons group

Pressing M in mission will bring up your fire groups menu. Toggle chain is a box at the top of that menu. You can toggle chain for each of your fire groups individually

What Lemur said, use M to manipulate weapon groupings on PC. Items in chain fire will have their square look like a chain link. But be warned, unlike Mercenaries, it stays live action while the menu is open.
