What about Mechlab and mech equipment? Arcady or real time Battletech?
Same goes for the weapon systems: faster fire rate, lighter, mechs can tank more heat thanks to double heat sinks. So overall the performance is alot better then what you could pilot in MW5:mercs
Speedier mechs that can fire more often... wich is actually why the clans where curb stomping the IS so much at the start. Nothing out of the ordinary here
I didn't say MechAssault was an FPS. I said an FPS is closer to what MechAssault was, meaning compared to the normal Mechwarrior games.
While I am not a big fan of losing customization options, I likely see why not customizing armor may make sense lore-wise.
If you check most of the classic canonical Clanner mechs that are Omnipod-based on BattleTech, all the TW existing variants for each chassis use the same exact armor distribution.
I assume that the 16 battlemech that we get might be falling into this category (cannot know for sure since I do not own the game yet, so not sure which mechs are available).
You aren't wrong in regards to the lore but this feels 'light' because it has the same quality craftsmanship as a Unity asset flip. Everything feels barely held together and jank.
For starters, they were third person games. And the mechs had weight to them. It was faster paced as in the mechs had a higher top end speed and the controls were dumbed down to work on xbox, but they were, by literally the definition, not anything close to how a FPS would play.
I would know, I still have the original 2 games on disk. I was there when they released and played them on xbox live. Stop talking.
The MechWarrior franchise has always been an FPS/Sim. Not to mention, the next game in the timeline after MW5 clans would be MechCommander Gold. A classic RTS.
Mechassault was not, is not, and never will be part of the canon or continuity.
Wow, you're getting awfully butthurt because someone has a different opinion than you. Maybe you should do something to relax. Maybe play a game? There's this old Xbox title called MechAssault you might like. It's kind of like an FPS, but it's in third person, and the physics were a bit different. You might like it if you can find it!
Seriously dude, F off. You're being autistically semantic for no good reason other than picking a fight.
No way, Mechassault sucks man. I owned both discs. Dont bring that filth up.
