How did you mess up Mechbay UI THIS BAD
We do not need a separate screen for each area. You absolute ninnies. I want you to know that you spent days away from your family to make a user interface that is less intuitive, absolutely dumb, and 3 steps back from every mechwarrior game since battledrome.

Why did no one stop this?

Agreed. It's incredibly unintuitive and FAR less visual than the previous one in mercs. I simply cannot "visualize" my mech by looking at it and having to switch to a different screen for every body part is unbelievable.
Never come this close to refunding a game due to UI.

they managed to put the end mission screen onto 3 separate slides. So... yay?

At least the mechlab looked prettier than mechwarrior 5 mercs.

So long being able to see the mechs in person being worked on. The training missions looked nice but very linear. The between mission UI is super disappointing. I'll probably keep the game assuming the third mission isn't bad but the inability to walk around the ship to visually experience the area like walking through the base in Mercs is disappointing.

its quite click intensive yes. I think they're trying to appeal to a wider audience but its not helping.

its interesting since mwo and mw5 mercs both have good mech labs, and mwo even deals with omnipods etc.

TBH, Why not just stick with the variants as the game has them? SMN-D, TBR-Prime, etc? That's the whole point of omnipods, the ability to switch out weapons fast and quickly configure for different fighting styles and environments. People are just going to turn the mechlab into another way to META the heck out of the game :(

I *viciously* dislike the mechlab in this game.

They took the best part about omnipods, and just said, "herp derp, your mechs work just like the Inner Sphere now. Oh, except you can't add or remove jump jets, even though you could do that in the previous game, so in reality, they're WORSE at doing the thing Omnimechs are supposed to be good at!"

Like, the entire point of omnipods is that you don't have hard points, you damn ninnies! You're supposed to be able to mix and match on the fly, that's the entire damn reason the tech exists, otherwise they'd just use stuff like the Warhammer IIC!

What the actual hell were the thinking when they designed this?!

the time-life series on "human anatomy and the practice of medicine with household tools" was more understandable and of greater utility... even after I lost that arm.

Nice i can skip this then i dont need console ports, atleast that explains why the graphics are actually worse than in mercs.

LOL they did not have good mechlabs.

MW5 tried to appeal to newbies who know nothing about Battletech, and the result was trash without a mod like YAML or MercTech. MWO is MWO, better than MW5 but still not what it needs to be.

So, I don't have this, afraid to try it with Mixed reviews. But when you "shop" for mech parts and upgrades, does it compare it to what you already have?
