I have no clue what it is but it has to do something with your GPU having issues rendering the graphics. This game is brand new so I'm sure there will be updates for our graphics cards ( I have AMD RX 570 8GB).

I can't guarantee it will work but you can try the following:

Make the exe file run as admin by default
Update your GPU's drivers and restart comp
Verify integrity of the files via steam
Reinstall game and restart comp
Let the exe bypass your antimalware program and firewall (I have not tried this yet but some people suggested)

GL bc I have not got it to work yet

Im beginning to believe this is a AMD graphics issue I have yet to see anyone say anything using a nvidia card

Seems like everyone getting this issue has an rx570 or rx580 so far

It's occurring with Nvidia cards too, there's another thread with them having shader crashes. Just not so much on launch.

Starting to suspect Piranha should have let this cook another 2 months to iron out this issue.
