ER PPC graphics?

Is it just my lousy graphics card, or do the ER PPC's look very different here than they do in Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries? In MW5:M they look like proper lightning bolts, but in MW5:C they are just blue colored AC rounds that have an electrical impact (at least on my machine).

I realize this may just be my card not being able to draw the entire beam of electricity connecting my mech to the target (though it did just fine in MW5:M), but I hope it wasn't an intentional reversion to the "electric ball" PPC's of previous Clan based games (MW2, etc). I definitely prefer the lightning bolt graphics. Just curious.

It was an intentional, lore accurate choice. They are however much faster than previous entries. I dig it, but I can understand why somebody would prefer the MechWarrior Online/ MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries look.
