More because they are following the TRO from 3050, and the mechs you get are the mechs that they had. They swapped out the Firemoth for the Arctic Cheetah and ditched the Ice Ferret in favor of the Shadow Cat. Other than that though, these are the mechs that the Clans used as the tip of the spear.
They call it the unseen..
Just like did you ever see a single elemental in the game?
I really do think the IIC mechs will come as a DLC and included will be the Bane mech. It is coming to MWO this month and was only probably ported due to its inclusion on MW5 Clans at some stage is my guess.
the only real exception to this have been clan mechs, because MW5M was set before the clans invaded.
Totally wrong
Yes i saw 1
It's a shae that there werent any in missions, even as scripted events would have been awesome
i'd expect the supernova in a hypothetical DLC that would add IIc and other clan battlemechs, as we'd need something of a mechlab overhaul to set them up.
Supernova was introduced in 2846, so a little over 200 years before the clan invasion. It wasn't included in the assault forces because it was considered a 2nd line mech due to the mech having no weapons other than 6x ERLLas and a SEVERE overheating problem. Eventually variants would get created that would somewhat mitigate these issues, but that wouldnt occur until AFTER operation Bulldog due to the shortages of frontline omnimechs. The clan homeworlds simply didnt have anything like the resources nor the manufacturing capacity to make good on all the losses the clans had endured between 3050-3057, so 2nd line mechs would be pressed into frontline service, which is when you get IIC's and such showing up in frontline combat.
