stuck in scan mode

Ok, I seem to be encountering a glitch where the game says that I am in scan mode, but I can't scan anything. No little boxes appear and I can not exit scan mode. Simply put, toggling scan mode no longer works. I've tried setting scan mode to a different key and trying a number of different key combinations. Forced to quit the mission twice now.

what a terrible bug. I logged in ready to go blow things up...nope stuck in scan mode.

Usually I give devs the benefit of the doubt but you fix one thing...and break 2 others? What gives?

same is happening to me and those i play with. happens solo, happens in coop.. randomly happens to one of us but not usually both of us. this is highly frustrating.

Same here. I've tried a number of matches in horde mode. For light matches I can't exit scan mode. In medium matches it crashes the game.

And slightly unrelated when I did a heavy match the third wave just won't show up.

Yup, I've gotten this bug as well.

Im encountering this bug too, with unusual frequency. Most recently while in dialogue with the NPC narration.

EDIT: It just crashed, probably same as Laca

PGI does not look at these forums so trying to make it visible here will not help get the bug noticed.

EDIT: And no I do not work for PGI, I reported a bug there myself. I occasionally have a bug where when I open the battle grid I can't issue commands to my Star.

This is what worked for me. Disable your mouse/keyboard software......Razor Cortex, Logitech.......I disabled my Razor mouse and keyboard software and this allowed me to select scan mode properly.

This has happened to me on the early mission where I knew I had to scan something and went to scan mode before the game 'told' me to scan the dropships, had to restart the mission.

Happned to me on the first mission where you have to scan dropships. Not to late to return the game.

I only had it happened during 1 Colonel Wimmer mission. Not sure why that's suddenly happening. Didn't get the scan logo either.

I'm also stuck in scan mode, opening mission final part. Won't exit via keyboard or controller, using controller to play.

For me, it happens when I go into scan mode right at the start of a mission, OR when there's dialogue going on, especially if it's related to scanning an objective. Happened to me at THE VERY END of heir to the Dragon and it sucked. Only solution for me is avoiding going into scan until after NPCs are done talking, haven't had the issue since consciously avoiding this.

Also get a similar issue where I can't give any orders in Command Mode, no idea if it's the same cause but THAT one only resolves by restarting the game.

I appreciate the reminder, but when I follow the link I get sent to a Zen Desk sign-in page with no way to create an account. Not sure what to do.
