I keep getting fatal errors and connectivity drops when trying to play with other people. No fatal errors in single player yet.
To OP, there is no reason to get this DLC, I am of the opinion it should have come with the base game.
Which one is it please? Can we enjoy this new expansion solo, or is it strictly for multiplayer?
This is another example why offline bots need to make a comeback as standard in many games that offer multiplayer along with
- P2P
- LAN/ ad hoc
- Split screen
Too many games, particularly live service games, are competing for peoples' time online and they live and die on "player count" which is a nonsense metric only applicable to MMOs.
Having the aforementioned multiplayer features i.e. not dependent on corporate servers and services would make the whole "player count" and can't find people to play online moot.
Is there an Arena Mode ,
AND can Bots fill out the enemy Team.
So a single player can play this mode?
Yes, you can play it entirely single player. When you launch the Arena mode you can designate which members of your Star will be AI or even disable them. Should you have a friend join, they can select who to play. You can adjust the teams so you're either fighting a Free For All, a 2v2, or even a handicap match of various configuration. There is no online matchmaking to it, it is simply designed for you to either fight bots or against four of your friends. Admittedly, it is a lot of fun to beat up your friends in that mode, haha, and in my opinion it is worth it just for that.
The Horde mode likewise can be played entirely solo with your AI Starmates, or in co-op, just like the Campaign.
Yes.
Interestingly, I have only ever been hit with a Fatal Error if I try to launch the game from a Shortcut, but have never got one when I launch it through its Steam Library page.
