So, at minimum, I think it's fair to say the obvious baseline implementation would be the way MW5: Mercs handled things, except you're running in a 5-person Star instead of a 4-person Lance. Hopefully there's a little more added to the mix, but unless it's explicitly mentioned in preview coverage and not on the store page, that's all we have to go on.
Co-op has always been great, it has never not been, and Helldivers 2 was not the start of it, Helldivers 1 also did it really well, and so have hundreds of games before Helldivers was even a thing.
It's just that MW5's coop was trash.
As long as Co-Op for Pirannha Bytes means playing someone else's savegame instead of bringing your own mech, I will not touch it.
