In fact, given the sheer popularity of other Clans, Smoke Jaguars are probably the most interesting option. They're basically the nastiest Clan in that time period, and had only ever been villains, as opposed to others, who got to appear in MW2. I wouldn't be surprised if campaigns for other Clans were added later as DLCs.
Fair enough, but why did they even choose smoke jaguar in the first place kinda puzzles me.
Oh well, as this point i dont care (anymore) i just want a much better game than mercenaries.
I imagine we'll get other Clans in later DLCs. At least the four original invaders, Nova Cat and/or Steel Viper would be a pleasant surprise, but they only played a bit part in the invasion.
Also its mentioned that our lance in this will be a clan star, if one point in that star isn't a chatty hyper aggressive elemental squad im gonna be real real disappointed.
The Twilight of the Clans book series does that fairly well (at least on an individual level), especially the first book. I highly recommend reading that series.
These were the first battletech books I read and they compelled me to check other battletech novels.
Wolves are boring anyway since their whole thing is that they don't act like a Clan. That's not a good pick for a game which is called Mechwarrior: Clans. Maybe if they make like five other Clan games after this one then a Wolf one would be okay as contrast, but not now.
It's absolute Mary Sue nonsense. They don't have to work at all for their victories which honestly makes them insanely boring and not something you'd want to make a game out of it.
If I was to make a game from an invading Clan perspective Smoke Jaguars is one I'd have as a top pick just because their invasion arc is a bit more interesting.
