Really ? where? All i see is a hotfix for the fighter issue and still fighters crashing into AI bombers and a brand new tracer bug with bullets goings in completely different direction then was aimed, and many more issues still remain.
So still no "big update" its just the hotfix build from Taff in Exile youtube video that showed little progress. This could hardly be called an update, but a hotfix once again sweetened by real bomber name stories to make the content look more substancial.
Yes and i already stated they were working on it and the project has still pulse. But it seems this patch is yet another step back instead of showing progress.
I grew up with Microprose and while they have had bad games, I have fond memories of most of their games, including the original B17. I knew going into this purchase what I could likely expect from this revamped version. As they continue to work on the game, I continue to come back and play a while, then move on until I next get the urge to come back. Just jumping into this game brings back fond memories for me and also reminds me of the sacrifices of those who crewed these beasts in WWII. That's more than enough for me!
Thanks Microprose and I look forward to your next games (and yes, I understand some may take a while and some may even be cancelled - that's how things work).
Look its great for ofcourse you play this game for nostalgia,s sake and i think you should do you. And some people dont feel the need for the new features of promised upgrades and thats fine with me of course. Point is that apparently they were way to ambitious, and they advertized this as a remaster with upgrades they announced that never make it in any of the patches. If they cant deliver they should just be open and fair with anyone and just admit that the game will just be a wide-screen upgrade, with new interiors and some new menus and what we see is what you get...
Yeah but seriously, i,m getting this strange feeling that indeed there are some two or three at best part time student/start up programmers/coders working on this game in the weekends to pay for collage that comprises the "development team", and thats why there is so much mystery & complete communication silence. If they cannot even fix joystick support after 6 months, even in the latest patch, for a flightsim mind you., Then i think all those new game features they have planned like new exterior models and such should really be taken with a grain of salt. The development of this game seems to go backwards instead of progressing, i really dont see this game going anywhere at all unless they make some drastic changes to development, which when looking at their PR and communication policy probably cant be bothered with either...
This has nothing to do with people thriving on negative comments, but has everything to do with selling a broken product that gets even more broken over time. I know its early acces but even for ea this is unprecedented. For example never in my life ive seen an ea title that cant seem to fix even the bare minimum such as joystick support well over 6 months, not to mention bring in completely new bugs . If you sell a 25 year old product that came with its own bugs, promise to remaster it and bring in new features only to break it even more with each consecutive patch and not even progressing close to what it advertises to any time soon then you,d expect only positive comments? If only they would communicate and engage with the community it would look very different i think, You see it is the very foundation of every early acces model to engage, communicate and work WITH not against your community, these go hand in hand. Instead we are given patches that seem to take longer and longer to release and is breaking more then it fixes....
Long story short, if they choose to release and ask money for a product in early acces that, despite advertising otherwise has not only shown zero progress for over 6 months, is more broken & unplayable then its original and at time of ea release and still is, while determined to maintain this draconian no compromise zero support/no communication policy is showing zero respect for the very people who support the game by buying an early acces title in good faith it will progress into something awsome.
And sure its early acces, and yes certainly i would be the last to say its easy to work and remaster a game with 25 year old code. But to not even occasionally jump here on the forums or even their own hardcore fanbase on their own discord channel to provide even the bare minimum of feedback, or lay out a very rudimentary idea of the on goings, or a very broad estimate on what to expect in the future & some general TLC to keep your community happy and would shut down the ney sayers instantly, and is no more then a common courtesy.
"`Long story short" Thank the gods!
Almost 100 posts (and about 4000 words) singing the same chorus, since May 9th.
I think it's become more than clear that you're not happy with the development of the game, but really:
- Is this a personal crusade?
- Some unspeakable promise to someone?
- Don't you have anything better to do than to keep repeating yourself and tormenting users (since it is proven that the devs don't pay attention to you?
Maybe in the end you will get it
Funny that you mention a "personal crusade" looking at the multiple hate posts/reply,s you have been posting & replying. I specially love it when you speak of "tormenting users" and then go on stalking me and ♥♥♥♥ posting me all around the forums. That is trully next level.
Oh and uhm its nothing special the devs dont pay attention to me, and this may come as a surprise to your single brain cell, but the developers dont pay attention to anyone and the whole of the community here and that is the problem isnt it? so what else is new?
You hit the point:
You annoy everyone with your resplies in other threads without paying attention to the topic of the thread (by repeating your chorus) but then you get annoyed because someone answer to your repetitive and dull resplies that have nothing to do with the topic of the thread.
Have you tried to claim a refund? The logical thing is that if you hate the way the game is being developed so much, you will collect your money and stop being so unhappy.
PS: As long as you maintain your behavior, I will maintain mine (replying to your post). Why not?
At least I'm just annoying only you and maybe some will have fun reading my answers to your refrain instead your "short stories".
So let me get this straight, what you are trying to tell everyone here is that you have been send from the high heavens themselves to go on a fiercely determined one man,s quest as the saving grace for a development project that has sold a broken game while trading in advertised new features for new bugs and product unusability, all while engaging & becoming the exact same behavior and "dull replies" you keep saying you hate and despise so much? And in addition (as you claim i am) contributing to adding nothing to the topic yourself and annoying everyone? It is truly next level stupidity, and how lucky we are that we have the block function. But how brave that you came up with such a brilliant idea all by yourself with only a single brain cell, Bravo!
But thank you very much, because you just gave us the perfect example & embodyment of what is wrong with this game, and above all what is wrong with total lack of communication by the developers. Also their PR departent must be truly thankful for basically doing what they have failed to do all along, all while getting payed for it while you are making a complete fool of yourself.

Are you talking about yourself, right? LOL
Because after creating a fake profile (level 1 on Steam) on May 9, only to post on the B17 forum (not anywhere else about anything else) 100 posts in two weeks to always complain about the total lack of communication" (90% of your posts include that), it seems that the man with a high heavens mission is you.
