OMF Mod doesn't work with newer Windows installations

Who knows. I just posted a link. People might want to exploit the mod files and I'm sure someone is smart enough to find a way to add a modded item to the new version if they want to. The Redux version (so far) seems to have the same graphics as the original, once you're airborne, so even old mods like these are potentially useful.

It's possible, but keep in mind the OMF Mod was created by the original developer (Wayward Design) not a modder from the B-17 TM8th community. If the new developers follow through and do update the exterior graphics from the original, most of these mods would probably be moot since they were mostly small graphic fixes and improvements and re-skins. I do hope they keep the ability for modders to add their own nose art and bomber names like is possible with the OMF Mod. The nose art and bomber names were very meh in the original game and very meh in Redux also.

Again the OMF mod doesn't work. A Windows update broke it.

I don't doubt what your saying General Ripper at all. I haven't used the OMF Mod in several months so I'm glad I have all my mods installed already. My reply was more responding to the OP about it maybe working with Redux. Let's just say if the OMF Mod wasn't broke by windows updates, being this was a developer released mod it's would be problematic if it would work with Redux. The OP stated Redux looks the same exterior wise as the original game. But with a new developer, who knows what was changed under the hood. And after seeing the interior graphics I think they changed a lot.

Bought the game on GOG and installed. It runs nicely and the interior graphics are great. Opened the install folder and there's B17 OMF file right there... I'm running Windows 11.
