If money isn't a huge object go for the bleeding edge - Command: Modern Air / Naval Operations at Matrix.

Fleet command all day long. I thought this game was just a revamped Fleet command but I was disappointed with not being able to save, no fast forward, and glitches in weapon firing.

I bought Artic for $5 off of GameFly. It is worth $5 but is pretty much Arcadish play. I like it for laid back easy fun.

Janes is an awesome game but I am NOT able to get it to run under the newest Windows OS.
I tried Compatability mode for Win 7 and XP but it refuses to run.

Does anyone know how to get a James FC that will run under modern Windows OS??

Attempt to win xp sp3 compatibility. I fc play on win 7 64 bit without any problems, The game I bought on DOTEMU (adapted to the modern operating systems).

THANKS for the tip.

I just bought and installed Jane's FC. It runs great so far in Win 7 compatibility mode.

I'm going to get Dangerous Waters as well. It too would not work on my system with Win 8.1. I assume that the DOTEMU version, like Jane's FC, is modified to work with Win 7 at least.

Do you happen to know or have Dangerous Waters and know if it will run in Win 7 mode off the DOTEMU purchase?

Thanks again for the tip. I was NOT aware of DOTEMU at all.

Looks like I just got BURNED on Dangerous Waters from DOTEMU. It will not run under any of the campatibility settings/modes.

I put in a support ticket but I guess I just wasted $10...

Has ANYONE gotten Dangerous Waters to work under Win 8, 7 or ?

no I wish they would make an updated version of it!!!!
Artemis is a group game mind you it is a space ship simulator. It is fun though!

I now have both Janes and Arctic Circle.

The more I play the more I enjoy Arctic Circle.

It's smoother (newer programming) and grows on you.

Jane's is probably a tad more "realistic" but Arctic Circle is more playable and in my view fun.
