That would be interesting, but not much building there as these come from manufacturers already built. About all you could do is stock them in inventory and maybe repair. Still... anything that can add to this would be cool +1

Otherwise it would have better to call the game "Guitar Shop Simulator".

The name is fine. There are a few differents insturments we were promised, like basses and violins. Not every store has **everything** in its stock. And I'm sure the devs at least considering adding new instruments.

As geozero said, the problem with brass is there's not much building involved...

I can see them doing more in the future, but probably other obscure stringed instruments. There's the sitar, dulcimer, plenty of things with the same mechanics as guitars...

I agree with you, it would be nice, but building something like a clarinet or flute would just be one item with about 8 things bolted to it so it's really only wooden instruments that are worthwhile because of the painting, drying etc because you could make a brass or woodwind instrument way too easily

They might come part of a DLC but it should be guitar store simulator if they dont give us more instruments before any DLC.

The game at 1.0 will give the the opportunity to build bass guitars, violins, altos, cellos, and double bass for strings + guitar and bass amps.
You'll also be able to manage a photographic room, recording studio rentals etc.

but yeah indeed, it's more on the luthier side but also some oither aspect of managing a music store :)

Funny...no-one's mentioned keyboards. Walk into any self-respecting music shop like Andertons in Guildford, and you'll see a stadium-sized room full of keyboards. Perhaps its for the opposite reason that we have no brass - there's too much building and repair involved. But there's nothing to stop you from bringing them in and selling them, maybe making assessments as to whether the instrument can be repaired on site or must be sent away. There's still admin stuff to do and money to be made. If you can't use real keyboards for copyright reasons, make them up! This is a game, not real life! Let's have a Korg Krispy Kreme that can play Netflix and make toasted cheese sandwiches. Or the Yamaha Yogi that will get you high as a kite and thinking that your song sounds magnificent. These possibilities are endless! x

The game is including amps, so I can't see keyboards being too unrealistic. But on that note, pianos are pretty common in music stores as well. I imagine a baby grand would need a larger work area than any of the current work benches can provide, but so what? You'd certainly get your moneys worth on all those auto stringing upgrades.

Drum sets are also a very standard music store thing but, like the brass, maybe not enough work to be interesting

I think fixing band instruments would be interesting. I remember playing the flute in high school, and it would visit the shop or band director for sticky keys or pads replacement. Polishing or fixing dents would be nice too.
