Welcome to the Troubleshoot Guide.

Before continuing, please ensure you meet the minimum requirements. If you meet those requirements, try all the possible solutions below. If your problem still persists, please contact us.

Black Screen or Crashes (NVIDIA GPU)

Those with NVIDIA GPUs should go to Geforce Experience Settings and DISABLE the SHARE feature. Be sure to do this in the main app settings and not just in the overlay menu.

Black Screen or Crashes (Windows)

This issue mostly occurs when certain Windows editions do not have Windows Media Player and the necessary codecs installed. For example, this is common for Windows N users.

Windows 8 or newer download:

Windows:
The Media Feature Pack for N versions of Windows is available for download as an Optional Feature.
To install the Media Feature Pack, navigate to

(Windows 7)
Start > Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows features on or off
(Windows 8+)
Settings > Apps > Apps and Features > Optional Features > Add a Feature

And then locate the Media Feature Pack in the list of available Optional Features.

Note Although you are not prompted to restart your computer, you must restart in order to successfully complete installation of the Media Feature Pack.

If the official Windows Media Feature pack didn't resolve the issue, users have found better success with these unofficial downloads:

Black Screen or Crashes (AMD Laptops)

Go to Device Manager (you can use Run and type devmgmt.msc or just search for Device Manager)
Go to Display Adapters
Right-click on the one that is NOT your AMD adapter, and choose 'disable device'

Black Screen or Crashes

Disable your Steam Overlay. Head to Steam > Settings > In-Game > Uncheck "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game".

Remove headphones and/or mic before starting the game.

Run the game windowed by going to Settings > Fullscreen > Off.

Uninstall any additional Display Adapters such as Citrix.

Open NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Vertical Sync > select "Use 3D application Setting"

Cursor Not Showing

Unplug any USB controllers or devices

Game Audio

If the audio is not playing at all:

Nvidia: Go to your Device Manager and DISABLE Nvidia Virtual Audio Device from the "Sound, video and game controllers heading." Then, restart your system.

Xonar Audio: Set the number of audio-channels in the Xonar DGX Audio Center to 6 channels.

Realtek: Update Realtek Drivers[www.realtek.com]

Game Save File

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<user id>\2000090\remote

I don't know if it is a bug or not, but When partnering with Price and finding veteran notes in the H room, if you go to the Banquet Hall and start talking to the lady, she always replies that they have confused her with someone else. However, if we find a photo from Singapore and approach the gentleman near the window, he is always willing to help. Please note, this glitch only exists if you play from scratch, not using the shortcut. If you use the shortcut, the lady recognizes you and tells you where the girl is Thank you

Doing this fixed the black screen issue in the demo (by default, vsync was using fast mode):
Open NVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Vertical Sync > select "Use 3D application Setting"

Will a 'skip video' function be added? I'd really like to replay to try and figure out more of the story - pretty much just stumbled through to an ending - but I'm not prepared to sit through the drawn out cutscenes over and over for this purpose. I missed a lot by advancing to a new area accidentally, not realising I couldn't go back.
