Between Half-Life and Unreal Tournament, it really was an amazing time to be a mapper.

I think the video missed out on some legendary maps that were staples of high end league play though. I have a hard time naming them after all this time... openfire_l and schtop have a place in history for sure.

I think my favorite years were 99-06. I have really fond memories of the Y2K starting, and seeing and playing all these crazy games with my older bros. I have a vivid memory of helping my older bro and his best friend from down the street haul their old PC's to and from our houses with my 2 red wagons. God help us when LAN parties were organized. haha.
