Trying to get noclip to work in TFC
Opened TFC with launch parameters -dev
opened console and typed "sv_cheats 1"
typed "map 2fort"
after map loads and i selected a class and character
opened console, typed "noclip"

nothing happens. cannot go through walls.

What do i need to do? I didn't create a server, it should be single player. if I type in sv_cheats, it comes back with "1"

I was a map maker back in the conc days, and want to go to the end of a map i made without having to actually conc through it. (I suck at conc'ing now.)

sv_cheats 2 should be your first step.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, how have I not known that sv_cheats 2 was a thing?

Thanks man, it worked.

Hm weird, AFAIK sv_cheats only has two states, on or off.

https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Sv_cheats

0 = off, 1 = on, 2 = on

It might only be evaluated (checked) on map start or level change.

If you create or join a server before starting a map in single player mode, sv_cheats won't work until you restart TFC.
I remember this 'issue' as far back as 10 years ago.. if the map isnt 'started' with sv_cheats 2, the cheats wont work.

I did some testing before posting above, and it worked for me with 1. Not sure why it doesn't for everyone. :shrugs:
