TFC says 'Running' but wont start - Help!

Regular TFC player for a long time but now the game wont run!
Says running in steam, and when I double click the game again it brings up an error:

'An error occurred while updating Team Fortress Classic (app running): 7352'

Half Life, Counter-Strike and all other games run fine.
I have tried 'Verify Integrity of Game Files'.

PC is Windows 7 Professional and have not changed anything recently.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Hey dude, I found a fix you should try running half-life first

could always try uninstalling and reinstalling if that doesnt work

Thanks Nuparu, I tried that and it works.

I really didn't want to do a reinstall!

Another thing that worked was after the TFC error came up, going to 'Task Manager' then 'Processes' then hl.exe *32, right click then End Process.

For some reason it needs to run Half Life or TFC once before TFC will open/start.
