How do you plant in the garden?

The game basically builds on 1 and 2 so I knew how important it is to get high quality materials but lacks the explanation in 3.
So just asking I already have some seeds and try to plant stuff at the Hidden Base but there are no button prompts.
Do I need to craft a tool or maybe need to go to further into the story?
Some sort of requirement that I might have missed out?

When you hit the point in the story you can build a atelier, you can make it into one with a farm. Granted you only get 4 plots on the outside of the base.

The farm outside the Secret Hideout isn't a real farm, you'll unlock the real farm a while later

I already reached Sardonica and I remembered when making the atelier, there are 3 types.
I forgot which one that I made.
Does it have to be a specific one to have access to a garden?
And if so can I change my atelier type?

You can change them at any time so long as you have the materials just look at the sign post out front of your atelier to change it or upgrade it when you get further in the game.

Seeds apart from plant seeds require a supply point recipe too

I am finally able to change my atelier into farm and plant the seeds.
Just asking, can I make the garden bigger?
Because so far I can only plant 4 of them

The only way to make your garden bigger... is to build more gardens.

Also, up to two recipes from each region are Seeds. If you're lucky, you might find the recipe in a randomized treasure chest.

...yes. Treasure chests can contain randomized items from the pool of supply point items. Can't make this up.
