Ryza 3 also has a skill tree which unlocks mechanics and recipes and stuff, but I felt like the skill tree gated me a bit more than I was comfortable with.
Of course, you're looking at a game with more active combat vs a game with turn-based combat, so Sophie 2 might feel a bit slower in that regard, and the crafting in Sophie 2 can, if you want to put some effort into it, take a lot of your time compared to in Ryza.
Also the font is very small your eyes will hurt trying to read all of it lol
Open world is fine, but the graphics leave something to be desired.
The game is just ok overall. I enjoyed the past two Ryza games more.
Ryza 3 is a larger game than Sophie 2 and the features are more comprehensive. Some feel the story is not as good as it lacks that summer adventure atmosphere in Ryza 1.
Personally I like Sophie over Ryza.
