I don't live in the US but all the prices have gone up and this is their biggest project ever
I took a screenshot for Ryza 2, if 3 is higher than 2 has asked, I will pass. KT should learn a lesson by now
It is 59.99$ for me.
I don't live in the US, but there is no regional pricing for me so I am assuming Steam is charging me the same as US region.
Also Wanted: Dead comes out in two days, and i heard that one is 59 too, at least on xbox. But we'll see I guess.
But yes, Tecmo Koie is really greedy, which is why I stopped buying their games full price years ago.
I bought both Ryza1 and 2 50% off, and Ryza3 might be the first of their games in years I plan to buy full price! Just cuz I really loved the previous two.
their next game could reach 80$, this doesn't stop at 70.
Wild Hearts is being published by EA.
As also a fan of Ryza franchise, I rarely make a 'price discussion' on the forum. I respect the original price the previous Ryza's titles were selling. It's creators' right for making what they think their products' value.
And If we all enjoyed Ryza franchise and thinking the franchise in the past were undervalued, a few bucks being added to 3, isn't unacceptable. However, the original price of them were never undervalued, the price they've started were high enough, specially for the ultimate edition I've brought and some of you might did as well. They're as much as a triple A title, for some cases, even MORE than a AAA game cost. The only edition usually on the next tier of price is a AAA game's Collector's Edition, which is a PHYSICAL COPY that contains lots of goodies in their physical forum, which Ryza UE won't be able to compare, since everything on Ryza here are digital.
This is outrages KT, Ryza 3 isn't the last game I will buy from you, supporting this business of practice, KT will start adding more bucks in the future deals like the greedst company SONY had done. And soon, there will be nothing left to buy from you, KT.
A good example is Hi-Fi Rush which is a great game, everyone enjoys it with a fairly right price. Despite I haven't brought it myself due to I haven't finished what I have started currently, I'd still like to give my credit to it. Why these greed publishers never learn what a model within the industry have done?
Yes, Wo Long is 67 USD for me. And, yeah, most of JP companies stopped region price for now, KT were the earliest bird of such...
I plan to get WD too, that's partly why I make this post for. If all games with a similar value setting the price around 60 for max, my purchase power might be just there to reach them, But, if they 're starting add more bucks into it like $E, $ony, now KT, then I might only buy 1 title in a month, which means I gotta choose what I want most. For these foolish publishers, they lose my sells, which could be a happy ending for everyone, if they didn't launch the price hike activities, that I could buy most of them.
It's your money, I am not gonna stop you. I probably will pass this time, they're too many games out each day, so, if KT makes a false retail marketing strategy, it will suffer the consequences
Oh and my bad, I red Wanted was developed by Ninja Gaiden and DOA devs, and so I was thinking it is a Tecmo game XD
No worries, I did carefully read what you've stated :)
They're originally part of the development team for both games, as I recall, they've left KT and formed their own studio which is the one now for WD.
They did Valkyrie Elysium last year, published by SE. The game wasn't bad at all, but because it's SE, the price were high, it pretty much destroyed the game's reputation. Honestly, WD shouldn't sell for a similar price otherwise the studio seems not much different from their previous boss- KT, and they didn't learn from their failure much either..
Valkyrie Elysium is on my Wishlist, and I do intend to get that and Wanted sometime.
But yeah agree, it doesn't strike me as a 60$ game.
VE in my opinion, is a very good ARPG game, triple A standards no doubt. Don't listen to those reviews. Here is a video I've recorded in game with 4K HDR on: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2927669892
VE is the reason I want Wanted Dead in the first place, if you happened to get it as well, enjoy!
But yeah usually I take some points with reviews, but ultimately make my own decision based on the genre of the game and videos and trailers...etc.
KT's too greedy on this, If R3 is more expensive than it's ancestors already had, i will pass
