There's a dragon duck that breathes fire every so often, and there's also a magma duck that sets those specific ducks on fire when they touch. (There's quite a few more ducks that also set them on fire in the DLC - and even one more flammable one - but I don't know if you've got it.)

Because those ducks are made from flammable materials.

Don't worry, those would still be alive, unless someone alleyhop them out of the pool like basket balls.

Why are they flammable though? Is it because its hot outside and they so happen to catch on fire?

It's a mechanism for specific sets of ducks.

Since there is no dragon duck, I assume factors of map nature are at play.

Perhaps you are playing on map which has some sort of fire torch in the middle?

I did recently get a dragon duck and it sure does put my ducks on fire. For the map, Im just playing on the default/Infinity Pool one.
