Game is unplayable on even the potato-est settings
I wanted to play with a friend but we have pretty old laptops (I have a t430, he has an old alienware) but the game performs very poorly even in the most frugal settings, which is strange since we can run other, more resource intensive games without issue. Are there separate settings in a config file we can tweak?

The resolution setting doesn't change stuff in fullscreen I guess? But running windowed makes it drag even worse.

Alright so using Lossless Scaling and running it on same settings as before gives me between 16 and 31 fps. It also looks like an old vhs which is dope.

I have the same problem, when I start the game it´s always crashing, no matter what graphic settings I choose :(

Mind sharing what specs the system you are using have too?
- CPU
- GPU

As it sounds like hardware over the game itself.

Thank you.

With the specs you have posted, you are going to struggle running the game on non dedicated graphics. As the HD Graphics 4000 is built in to the cpu and shared with any and everything on that laptop. Lowest settings, v-sync on and window mode is still going to be a struggle on that system overall.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Hiya, I just finished upgrading my cpu to an i7-3632QM @ 2.20GHz. It's still struggling but I have the window maximized now an I can move around and look at my ducks alright enough. Also enabling vertical sync did help which surprises me because I generally always have that off everywhere since it makes everything play worse.

Thank you!

It used to run kind of bad but the new update really fixed a lot. Now it runs great, very nice work devs.

HMMM I wonder what could be the cause of bad performance for a modern PC game.
You might need a dedicated video card as @Sniper404 stated. Onboard graphic is never good with video games and it's not even the performance of the desktop it self.
