Artifact Disassembly?

Hi all!

I just noticed that you can disassemble artifacts for souls (i.e broken dagger grants a small soul after Disassembly).

Is it okay to dissamble artifacts or do they have a use later in the game?

This is the point of artifacts just like in Labyrinth of Refrain. They have no other purpose.

Thanks! I wish I had known/noticed that sooner I have at least 9 unused artifacts now lol.

A lot of them are actually used in requests. Some are outright required to advance. I'd be careful about converting most artifacts unless it's one you have 4+ of

Do you mean loot or artifacts? I've had requests for loot but not artifacts yet. I'm only at the crimson stage though.

There are quests that require artifacts, not just loot, yes.

Uh oh, thank you. Well I'll avoid using them then. I've been doing fine with a "smaller" team and I just found 3 more souls to use as well.

There are none in the first chapter, and those are the only requests that are technically required for progression. If you want to expand your party now, feel free, and then save up later.

Whoops, I already broke down two of the cheap ones for souls. I guess as long as what they are needed for isn't essential, I can just ignore it. Resisting urge to restart now...

I doubt you locked yourself out of anything. None of the artifacts so far are unique, and all can be gotten from treasure spots, and are quite common from them in fact.

i'm sure that someone will make a list of all the request memo's and their requirements later sooner or later so that people with small brain attentivity (like me) don't have to hoard more than we need... at least i hope so.
