Wasn't this the one who killed her sister and then the dad kept her inside? I think the dad kept her inside to stop her killing others, but that's just my interpretation.
In the end I kept alive the old Polish woman, I forgot her name and I'm pretty happy with the choice in the end.
Oh, and the old polish woman's name is Marysia Maja.
I find myself respecting that choice. I think her adopted Dad was the first person I killed in the game. While I obviously didn't know he kidnapped her that early on, I couldn't imagine a situation where I'd sympathize with a kidnapper. For whatever reason murder seems less severe to me if it's an accident or in self-defense, and the game makes a strong case for why various forms of theft are at least understandable if not moral.
