Can anyone get this to run in Windows 10
I've been trying to get it to load in Windows 10 using all of the things I've seen to get it to run in Windows 8.1/8/7, including setting the disable optimisations to true, vsync on, etc. If anyone has managed to get this to work in Windows 10 please let me know how. Thanks.

Run as admin, turn off UAC or install into a non-protected directory.

Tried a bunch of things but I couldn't get it to work, what a waste of time.

I appreciate this reply but I've already tried these things and unfortunately it still does not run. Have you tried this yourself?

I'm on 7; I can't say anything about 10, but it might be an EAX issue try:

I finally got the game to work on windows 10. I copy pasted PrinceOfPersia_Launcher onto the desktop, and renamed it Prince Of Persia, then moved that into the same directory as PrinceOfPersia_Launcher. After that I set all 3 .exe files PrinceOfPersia_Launcher, Prince Of Persia, and launcher to run in compatibility mode for windows xp sp3. Also make sure you run the game off steams main install directory.

I appreciate the reply, unfortunately that didn't work for me.

The only other things I did were enable vsync/widescreen, download/install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable and give all the exe files full control in the security tab. not sure if any of that will make a difference?

Just gave the 'full control' option in the security tab a shot, but it didn't work. I had already set vsync and widescreen a while back. The one difference in what I have vs what you have is I purchased this from Direct2Drive, it is not the Steam version, but I dont know what would be different really other than the install location.

That sucks. I have this kind of problem with L.A. Noir...owned the game for 2 years now, Never played it once. If you have multiple storage locations, is the game installed on your main c drive? Because that made a difference for me. Also what gpu/driver are you using? I'm using a 7950 and the new crimson driver.

I have Win10, works fine. Turn ON vsync if you have problems.

But the Steam overlay doesn't work, but that's a game issue, not OS.

I might be mistaken, but I remember something about D2D games having some very nasty DRM. Windows 10 tends to block these things, so check it out. If it indeed has such thing, see if you can find an update for it, or a DRM-free exe.

I appreciate the suggestion, they actually did update the DRM for this game and that part has been bypassed now since I put in the key they gave me.

Well. I got it run. Simple. I turned on vsync and I put in windows 7 compatibility mode. Now works fine! Before in windows 10 I cound not load eighter.

Just found it that if you start this game with a steam controller active or on, it won't launch. Try disabling the steam controller.

Just enabling V-Sync in graphics options did not work. I had to force it in video card control panel.
I have AMD R9 390, win 10 pro.
