This usually means the game's installation has been interrupted or corrupted at some point, and there may be files that are missing, so the game won't launch.
Can you please try first uninstalling the game, then reinstalling it?
Next should that not work, can you please try verifying the game files in Steam as this may also help find errors and replace the files you miss > https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/0C48-FCBD-DA71-93EB
Finally, can you try please try reinstalling the supporting software for the game, by finding the games 'support' folder, as shown in this guide >

People said that using V-syn works but as someone i can't get at the point where i have to press a button to ender the menu.
Why there is a product with those BIG problems on the market ? and why over 10 years are unsolved ? Do I have to refound the game ?
If the game is crashing for you, I would also advise verifying the game files in case of a corrupted installation.
Please follow these steps and all the others in this troubleshooting guide for crashes, so we can narrow down the cause of your issue as these are the most common fixes for crashing issues > https://www.ubisoft.com/en-gb/help/article/000061047
Should these steps not resolve this issue for you, please let us know as there may be a few other things we can advise.

Thank you for the response. I noticed when I tried to install the game, it asked to install an old version of DirectX, I am running Windows 11, so that already has DirectX, I would say I need to keep the latest version?
I did uninstall, but then it gave the same error, possibly it keeps certain information? Is there a way to properly uninstall it?
Lastly, thank you for that link, but it doesnt say which applications I need to install.
Windows 11 comes with Direct X12, but the games system requirements previously used the DirectX 9 and 10 versions. You can install various versions of DirectX on your system, that should be fine.
The game will also use some older supporting software such as Microsoft Visual C++ which is usually found in the game's' Support' folder, which could also be missing.
When launching any older game, you will often be prompted to install this older version of Microsoft C++ if you are missing it from your computer. You can check what older versions you have installed by opening your 'uninstall apps' on Windows tool - they should all be listed there under Microsoft, amongst your other programs you have installed.
I believe this game needs 2005 Visual C++ for the game to be run correctly.
You can download it from this website, if the game does not install it for you > https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26347
Can you please check if you have both the 64 and 32 bit 2005 Visual C++ software installed, or try reinstalling it from this website? Thank you
Should installing this supporting software not fix this error message for you, we may need you to open a private support ticket and have you send us your dxdiag and msinfo files for further investigation, as the game should usually launch without the need to install xyz software ordinarily > Ubisoft Email/Live Chat > https://www.ubisoft.com/help/contact

One setting I changed was in Programs and Features : Turn WIndows features on or off : Tick on Legacy Component and DirectPlay
Thanks for the update Ayreon, glad to see it sounds like you were able to get it sorted!
Is it still running alright now?
