In light of issues we’ve noticed some players having, we decided to create a handy little guide on possible solutions. If you’ve checked the requirements and your PC meets them, this is the place for you!

Please keep in mind that a lot of these problems will be smoothed out throughout Early Access as the team improves the game’s optimization.

The game stutters and isn’t stable / I sometimes experience crashes.

First, please open ‘advanced video settings’ and check the video memory’s usage. If it’s above the shown limit ( which can negatively impact your gameplay or cause crashes ), we suggest making a couple of changes to the texture settings in-game and seeing how this affects your video memory. This can include:

• Texture details
  
• Shadows resolution
  
• Indirect Illumination
  
• Directly changing your graphics quality to High, Normal, or Low

The game’s resolution also consumes a lot of memory. You can easily lower it by playing in ‘Borderless Window’ mode, by activating DLSS or FSR upscaling, or by leaving it in Basic and adjusting the Resolution Scale.

I’m still experiencing FPS drops.

If you’re still experiencing FPS drops, please try changing the ‘upscaling’ option from basic to either AMD FSR 1.0 or NVidia DLSS ( if you have a NVIDIA RTX graphics card ) to see if that fixes the issue.

We also suggest making sure your monitor’s refresh rate is at 60hz for smoother gameplay and that your resolution is set correctly.

My GPU and / or CPU usage is high.

We suggest changing some of the settings listed to see if that helps fix the high usage.

The hair in the game is transparent! How can I fix this?

Check to see if you're using DLSS in the video settings. If so, switching to AMD FSR should resolve the issue if the option is available.

The team is working on implementing DLSS and FSR 3 in a future update, as well as a fix to help resolve this issue.

My game is taking a while to load.

Please make sure your game is installed on an SSD and not a hard drive, as this can dramatically effect loading time.
