great game for a new buyer, but version 1.0 players have to start all over again to play the new update and that sucks completely i wanted to go back to the new bosses or just go on. rating is bad for me after that i like a one play through many hours type

One of the best Vampire games out there.

The game is a really good value for the amount of content that it has. It also has amazing gameplay.
They capture the lore of vampires in an awesome way. There's everything from the first vampire lore to Castlevania.

The base building is really well implemented and even has a feature where you can move your base and everything in it to a new area with an easy move feature. The gameplay is mostly building up a castle and exploring the land. There are lots of bosses around the map to fight and lots of endgame content with more to come.

This is also a game that is both fun to play alone or with some friends.

It is also important to note that the game is huge already and is about to get even bigger with the patch coming out with 1.1. The already great game is about to be bigger. . . and for free. Awesome devs.

In a ratings system out of ten this game gets a 9.5+. I highly suggest this game. I have almost 60 hours in and I'm about to put in over 60 hours more. The nice thing is once you beat the game on regular mode there's a hardcore mode. There's also and easy mode. . but I'm not too into easy. None the less there's a mode for everyone. IF you want to be in a friendly server there's PVE and if you want more of a challenge and want to fight other players there is PVE servers. IF none of that is quite right you can host your own server on your own computer . . it doesn't take up much resources. . and play the way you want by customising everything in the server to your liking.

An added bonus the community is pretty good and helpful overall.

I honestly do not thing this game is bad (you can look at all the other in-depth reviews to figure as much haha), however I do feel that there is an aspect of the game I truly despise and that is why I am giving this game a bad review. After the update to 1.1 you can't use your old savefile with the new additions, to me that is heartbreaking. Not because I don't have my max gear but rather because I already made the castle of my dreams, I already picked the location, painstakingly gathered everything and I spent hours trying to make it look cool. I wanted to add things to my creation, to improve on what I've already done. I know the same thing happened when they had updates in the past before the 1.0 version, but I figured now that the officially released it you could at least update your save file, now that it no longer was in early access and things did not change that constantly. Sadly this gives me even less of an incentive to play the game again, to once again do all the effort of gathering everything and completing the game, because once the next update arrives who knows if I will be able to use my previous savefile with the updated stuff, sadly, based on the evidence of previous updates it won't happen.
