I'm sure Acclaim had them make her more human to be able to sell toys if Turok 3 became as big as Turok 2.
She had some character development in the comic Adon's Curse that released with Turok 2 that lines up pretty well with her character in 3.
Same how Joshua looks different; time has passed.
Yeah, I know, but I mean it can be explained away with Lost Land nonsense. Maybe blue makeup is a thing? Who knows. xD
I never played Rage Wars, but it's my understanding her non-default costumes in that weren't blue-skinned either? Is easy to imagine a canon scenario.
On a more serious note, it would have been cool if ND would have packaged the Acclaim comics in as goodies.

You can still read them online on sites like readcomiconline together with other Turok Comics. There is even a Turok 3 Comic retelling the entire game and has an additional bio for the three Turoks and Adon at the end!
