I think the hit delay is fine, easy to get used to that. It's just annoying how there's absolutely no hit feedback other than when you hit walls. The meaty sound of the axe and the blade is perfect but the claws just feels like you're waving the air, not knowing if you're hitting enemies until they suddenly die.
Don't you get locked with the boss at the last phase of the Opisthor?
Really both of the swings should do damage. Maybe split the damage a bit between the two, but keep like 60-70% of the damage on the second swing to make it worth it to hit with both. Just a bit of extra skill to use the character.
