To everyone saying this is overpriced
Nightdive remasters are normally around 20$ USD. This one is 30$, so 10 more. But the amount of work this must've taken for them to make goes above and beyond any of their previous remasters. Almost all of the other remasters had some sort of PC release, some source code they've found/acquired, etc. This game had no PC port to work off at all. They had to redo how certain things worked and I don't even know if they had the original source code to work with this port, which I'm assuming why it took so long to get made.

If you were to buy the original N64 game cart right now, it would cost around 35-45$. That's still more expensive than buying this, a much superior version of the game.

Comes to CDN$ 43.67 Sorry but it's just too much to ask for a remaster of an N64 game:BL3Shrug:

Support the developers.
I think NightDive is a great studio. I really appreciate them bringing back these old games. And i want them to continue.
If someone is not willing to pay that price fine. But complaining about the price is stupid.

it's not a remaster if you actually change level layouts. that's a remake.

Honestly, I don't have a complaint about the price point. I lost my N64 copy of this game eons ago and figured I'd never have the chance to play it again outside of some shady emulator.

$29.99 to play it again with an actual decent frame-rate, keyboard + mouse controls, and so on... awesome. Fair enough, especially given all the facts that the original poster mentions.

Makes me wonder if we'll actually get Turok: Evolution or Turok (2008). Probably would be easier than Turok 3, given that both had PC ports... but I have no idea what the Turok IP licensing situation is.

Turok 1 and 2 were incredibly popular. Turok fell off the face of the earth for 3. Nobody bought it or cared. For Nightdive to take a chance on that is a miracle. It was clear that remaking 1 and 2 had a fanbase willing to buy an HD remaster. 3 was a big gamble. You should be surprised it isn't $100. Most games that are the result of a sh1tstarter (kickstarter) soak up $300,000 of people's money and THEN ask for another $80 at launch.

Aight, i get you, what i don't is why they removed the multiplayer. If they gonna charge me more, where is the rest of the sutff? We got the multiplayer on Turok 2 and Rise of The Triad, why we didin't get the mp on Forsaken and on Turok 3? I don't get it.

probably cause writing entire new netcode wasn't in the budget

I loved Turok 3 as a kid and prefer it to 1 and 2 so there were definitely people wanting this remaster. It's about time we got it too. It was definitely worth the extra $10.

I think it cost more cause of the effort needed...(no source code etc)
I think 26€ was too expensive but i love Turok and had to get this game!
PopCornFlakes Dec 2, 2023 @ 5:26pm
way way too overpriced for a 5 hours long game .
And the 5 hours is when you're discovering it , by taking your time , just like me.
Should have been 15 € at top

Its nowhere near Turok2 or Turok 1

$20 would have been the best price point for the game. Especially since the MP isn't included.
