Depends how you see it

Turok 3 is the weakest one in the series because of some several factors like being shorter than on gameplay time or balance problems (Ranged Enemies hits you no matter how good you dodge), etc.

After seeing the vid, i can see they fixed a lot of those problems i encountered back when i played it originally on the N64 when i bought it.

This alone makes it much more better than the original and may even rise it on the same level as the previous games. With Mod Support this has great potential!

And btw about Gman's Video:
I don't know where he got those N64 footage videos but it never looked that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as he demonstrated and those framerate problems were a bit exaggerated too

He was just running the zoomer "this is what box CRTs looked like!" filter, but it wasn't far off if we're being fair

Nah, i can understand that the graphics were basic at the time but when he showed Turok2 footage it looked way nastier than usual.

I even started an emulator with deactivated graphic features and it looked nothing like that what he showed so i'm pretty sure he exaggerated as usual in his vids

Ofc i know its not "100%" representative using an emulator but i know it from the past playing the censored and uncensored versions and was never disgusted with the graphics

as a person who has the nintendo 64 game on hand still, i can say for a fact this is a overall better game than what was released back then. The frames per second on the Nintendo 64 version is horrendous. The fact we get to play it at a buttery smooth frame rate is a godsend.

The downside for the 3rd game is that it isnt as exploration heavy as the 1st and 2nd. Its more linear. Parts of the game feels like they were trying to go for a Half-Life 1 kind of game.

I just hope we can get a Turok reboot. Just take the best elements of Turok 1 and 2 and make a new entry.

His N64 footage is 100% accurate, it is how N64 looks when using S-Video output through a scaler without scanlines. Here I have modded my N64 with RGB output and I use a GBS Control scaler to play it on my Plasma TV, but I use scanlines which makes it look much better because scanlines hides the jaggies and dither for the most part, but without scanlines it looks that awful. If anyone want to reproduce the real N64 look using emulator its possible by using Parallel RDP plugin, it is a high accuracy display plugin for N64 emulators, with it you can see how N64 games really look.

I liked, imo the third game is better than the first Turok.

I only played the first two and found slightly more charm in Turok 1. Never really played the third game but I will soon see how it is.

I hope they tackle Turok: Evolution eventually if they come back to this series.

Their reviews are usually honest I think, even if they can go overboard with the comedy, can sometimes be funny though, like the intro to this video.

They've mentioned a few times online that they wanted to do a new Turok with the KEX engine so there's a good chance.

If they created a new Turok game, ideally it should be similar to Turok 2 with slightly less maze-like levels and more dinosaurs.

And more futuristic style guns like Turok 1.

Turok evolution was rough...im a uber turok fan and i can admit how bad that game is. The concept was awesome but i'd love night dive to do a full Turok Evolution remake!

As long as all the issues are fixed that game was a big pain on PC's that was released after the games release.
It had many issues.
If they do remake the the game good luck cause it will be a pain and I know it.
I remember playing that on my pc. At the time it still had issues but not game fault but on my new pc as of today it's riddled with issues. Talking the CD copy.
Sadly a Remaster will not cut it.
