Turok 3 is the weakest one in the series because of some several factors like being shorter than on gameplay time or balance problems (Ranged Enemies hits you no matter how good you dodge), etc.
After seeing the vid, i can see they fixed a lot of those problems i encountered back when i played it originally on the N64 when i bought it.
This alone makes it much more better than the original and may even rise it on the same level as the previous games. With Mod Support this has great potential!
And btw about Gman's Video:
I don't know where he got those N64 footage videos but it never looked that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as he demonstrated and those framerate problems were a bit exaggerated too
He was just running the zoomer "this is what box CRTs looked like!" filter, but it wasn't far off if we're being fair
Nah, i can understand that the graphics were basic at the time but when he showed Turok2 footage it looked way nastier than usual.
I even started an emulator with deactivated graphic features and it looked nothing like that what he showed so i'm pretty sure he exaggerated as usual in his vids
Ofc i know its not "100%" representative using an emulator but i know it from the past playing the censored and uncensored versions and was never disgusted with the graphics
The downside for the 3rd game is that it isnt as exploration heavy as the 1st and 2nd. Its more linear. Parts of the game feels like they were trying to go for a Half-Life 1 kind of game.
I just hope we can get a Turok reboot. Just take the best elements of Turok 1 and 2 and make a new entry.
Nightdive Studios is a beast 💪
And more futuristic style guns like Turok 1.
It had many issues.
If they do remake the the game good luck cause it will be a pain and I know it.
I remember playing that on my pc. At the time it still had issues but not game fault but on my new pc as of today it's riddled with issues. Talking the CD copy.
Sadly a Remaster will not cut it.
